Art Hack Day
Larger than life / Loggen över ditt liv
13 April 2013 @ Bonniers Konsthall, Stockholm
What would your obituary look like if internet would decide? Datagården explores this question with obituaries based on real information from the internet. It also has fictional information in order to speculate about future potentials, for when it’s time for you to go.
Datagården works on any television, using Text-tv and a normal remote control. Text-tv is one of the largest mass media of Sweden, with two million viewers everyday. Its short and reliable information presents a refreshing alternative to the spam freedom of the www.
Datagården is most likely the first installation in the world to use a custom teletext signal. It features video input, video feedback and Twitter-feeds along with custom-made graphics/text/software and C64-music. Made by Raquel Meyers, Possan and Goto80. Interface developed by Peter Kwan. 3D-printed teletext graphics made with the help of Rickard Dahlstrand.

THE RECONSTRUCTION OF TIME
The concept of Memento is created by the understanding of time and change being used as a linear form. It all began with Borges’s thought that every human is filled with time. This is a great concept to tell with the usage of origami. Because in Early Japan the origami cranes were used as a tool for messaging. This usage is a very intimate concept. When a message is written inside an origami crane, it has life and time given by its author. Human’s are also filled up with these kids of memento’s. When these thoughts are lined in a linear form it kills the way that we remember. By this fact it is seen that time is a thing that we remember and collect.
The items that I have created for my senior work are all about how we collect time. In my opinion this is done by using all of our senses. So it can be seen that when we think about time, we don’t think about when it happened, we think about how it happened. This concept was afterwards visualized by a book, postcards, moving posters and many more stuff that were designed.
Thanks for, Alper Yıldırım, Doğa Uslu and Ali Sezgin on their

The future of long distance relationships.
Sture Johannesson‘s practice enriches politically-confrontational artistic strategies with experimental graphic design and anti-disciplinary actions aimed at Sweden’s systems of social engineering. Such corrosive methods have led to long periods of isolation and ostracization from the mainstream art world, a history that has made him one of the most legendary and important Swedish artists alive today.
The exhibition Sture Johannesson: In Memery – March 16 to May 25; 2013, Index, Stockholm – focuses on the breaking point that occurred in the late 1960s when Johannesson’s work moved away from the genre of Psychedelic Art and began experimenting with computer-generated graphics.
It was in the framework of psychedelia — a misunderstood artistic movement influenced by the counter-revolutionary and generational turbulences of the period, which suffered from association with hippie clichés — that Johannesson first became interested in digital drawings. Information systems and cybernetics were a logical development of psychedelia’s interest in self-organization, the technology of the drug, and media that proposed forms of artistic production able to ‘turn on’ and ‘off’ within or outside of established institutional frames that seek to ideologically regulate the social body. They worked towards dissolving the hierarchical and behavioral relations of a bureaucratized mass society, contributing to more egalitarian and interdependent relations, which could improve, for instance, the standard of living…
